Weekend Training

With news of the Rás being back on the calendar that might add a little bit of spice to this weekend’s training. We can all dream, but if you want to make that dream a reality then get your ass on the saddle. If enough people show a genuine interest, a willingness to work hard, 100% commitment and are willing to train together as a team then you never know what might happen. Think about it. For those at the other end of the cycling spectrum keep tagging along with us as much as possible. We have two good routes to do this weekend so we will see you out and about. We are reverting back to our normal Saturday cycle routes. If you are new to the group just do what you can.

Saturday Spin: meet at the Hotel at 9:00am. Racing cyclists out at 8:00

Route: we will be doing the Dolla hill top finish. The roads are very flat until we reach the end hill so it is always a handy enough route for beginners. The racing group will be cycling up Killeen too so as to give group 1 a good head start. The groups will split in Toomevara. Everyone should try to stay cycling until at least Roundhill before going home.

Sunday Spin: meet at Tescos at 8:00am.

Route: we will be doing the new Portumna, Birr, Roscrea, Templemore (stop for coffee) Borrisoleigh, Dolla and home route. Long roll over session from Portumna to Templemore so pace yourself. We will try a second roll session after the food stop if we are not too stuffed!
