Countdown: 3 Weeks to Go

Countdown – 3 Weeks to Go: We are halfway through our end of season break. By this stage all the hellish trauma accumulated from last year’s season should have been exorcised from your body. Rays of hope now start appearing over the horizon as winter training comes into view. For some (Will Rymer) the pain of glorious failure will take a little longer to leave the body. For others (Keith, Andy, Shane, Seán and Eoin) the pain of glorious failure…

Time to Relax

Time to Relax: With the Charleville 2 Day finished that means the season is well and truly over for all the club. Give yourself a big pat on the back for what was another good year. Don’t be too disappointed if things didn’t quite go your way – Rome wasn’t built in a day. Consistency is key so build on the foundations you have laid this year and come back with an even bigger year in 2018. Relax for the…

Race Results: Official club training might have come to a halt but there were still a few cycling events left on the calendar. News has just come in that the club have finished the season on a high with Mike Browne gaining promotion to the A1 ranks after a fine performance at the Charleville 2 Day. Training: before I get into the race results I just want to briefly mention that there are still quite a few heading out training…

Weekend Cycling

Weekend Cycling: Welcome to our first Weekend Cycling update on our new website. Everything is all new and shiny over here. Our new website isn’t the only good news this week as we just learned that there were actually points available for our Tipp Champs Race. That means the wily old vet, John Gleeson, has got himself on the scoreboard in the A4 category (don’t worry, we can’t believe it either!). Well done also to Matty Kennedy and NTW’s Nanno…

We hope everyone can try to make themselves available to attend the End of Year Cycle on Saturday week – details of that are below. This week we hope to have a brand new club website going live. We are just in the process of making it all pretty at the moment (takes a lot of photoshopping with yere ugly mugs!). Will Killackey was…

Weekend Cycling

The weather looks pretty decent for this weekend so we hope to see everyone back out and about on their bikes. There isn’t too much on in relation to racing this weekend with no Munster race on the calendar. Navan seems to be the place to go on Saturday and Sunday if you want to win some points. The usual Saturday and Sunday cycles will be on in Nenagh but we will change the route for Sunday and head for…

Nenagh CC Updates

Weekend Racing Suir Valley 3 Day: Mike Browne took part in this event over the Bank Holiday Weekend. This race is always a very tough one as the standard of cyclist is high. There were 4 stages to do, ending with a gruelling hill-top finish on the last day. Mikey has had a good season so far so it was no surprise to see him doing well here too. Over the first 3 stages Mike finished safely in the bunch.…
